- Tooth Extraction and Bone Grafting (If Needed): If the damaged tooth is still present, it is carefully extracted. If your jawbone is too thin or soft, a bone graft is placed into the socket, requiring 3 to 6 months of healing to create a strong foundation.
- Placing the Implant Post: The surgeon numbs the area, makes a small incision in the gum, and drills the titanium implant directly into your jawbone. The gum is then stitched over the site, leaving the post completely hidden.
